Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (2025)

As of now, there is no official remake or sequel to “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” scheduled for release in 2025. However, a spin-off film titled “Sam & Victor’s Day Off” is in development for Paramount+. This film will focus on the two valets who took Cameron’s father’s Ferrari on a joyride during the original movie’s events. Originally portrayed by Richard Edson and Larry “Flash” Jenkins, these characters are set to have their story expanded in the upcoming spin-off.

The original “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” released in 1986, follows high school senior Ferris Bueller as he fakes illness to skip school and spend a day in Chicago with his best friend, Cameron Frye, and girlfriend, Sloane Peterson. Throughout their adventure, they visit landmarks like the Sears Tower, Wrigley Field, and the Art Institute of Chicago, all while being pursued by their suspicious principal, Ed Rooney, and Ferris’s jealous sister, Jeanie.
