Dumb and Dumber 2: The Returns (2025)

Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) return in Dumb and Dumber 2 with even more outlandish antics and absurd misadventures.

The story begins with the duo still living together in their hilariously dysfunctional way, but they’re forced into action when Harry discovers a long-lost letter revealing he fathered a child during a brief fling decades ago.

Eager to meet Harry’s child, Lloyd insists they go on a cross-country road trip. Their journey quickly spirals into chaos as they navigate a series of ridiculous obstacles, including mistaking a high-tech laboratory for a rest stop and accidentally stealing a priceless artifact. Meanwhile, Lloyd becomes infatuated with Harry’s child’s mother, creating a hilariously awkward dynamic.

As they finally reunite with Harry’s grown child, now a successful tech mogul, their visit inadvertently jeopardizes a major business deal. In true Lloyd-and-Harry fashion, their clueless attempts to fix things only make matters worse, leading to a hilariously disastrous press conference and a high-speed chase involving the iconic Mutt Cutts van.

The film concludes with the pair returning home, none the wiser about the chaos they’ve caused, but closer than ever as best friends. Full of nostalgic callbacks and fresh absurdity, Dumb and Dumber 2 delivers non-stop laughs while staying true to its comedic roots.
